1. Who we are
HerbPicks (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates herbpicks.com, an independent supplement review and affiliate website. We are reader-supported and earn a commission from iHerb when you purchase through our links — this never influences our editorial rankings.
2. Data we collect
- Email address — only if you voluntarily submit it via our newsletter or AI Advisor “Save protocol” feature, with your explicit consent.
- Country & language — inferred from your browser settings or IP for the purpose of showing region-relevant products and responding in your language. Not stored unless you opt in.
- Recommended products — if you save a protocol, we store which products were recommended so we can send you a timely reorder reminder.
- Analytics — we use privacy-friendly analytics. No fingerprinting; no cross-site tracking.
3. How we use your data
- To send the monthly newsletter you subscribed to.
- To send a single reorder reminder when your estimated supplement supply is running low (~80 days after recommendation), if you opted in.
- To improve our content and product recommendations.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process your email and associated data on the basis of your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” in any email we send, or by contacting us at privacy@herbpicks.com.
5. Data retention
We retain your email and consent record for as long as you remain subscribed. After unsubscribing, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
6. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for the site to function (e.g. session state). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; this will not affect your ability to use the site.
7. Third-party services
- iHerb — our affiliate partner. When you click through to iHerb, their privacy policy applies.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — your wellness query is sent to Claude to generate product recommendations. Queries are not stored by HerbPicks beyond the current session.
- Resend — transactional email delivery. Your email address is shared with Resend solely to send messages you requested.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@herbpicks.com.
